Polluted Mind

Polluted Mind: Originally Written by Jennifer Soh Li Wen, 27th June 2011, Monday, 1:06 p.m.-1:34 p.m.

Facebook says, “What’s on your mind?”

A guy said, “69.” and Utada Hikaru sang, “I’m thinking six and nine.”

Of all these answers I find,

None is one of a kind.

I get out of my bed,

Thinking what’s left;

If all these things trapped in one’s head,

Is this how love is interpreted instead?

Chorus:

Making love,

Is it really out of love?

Don’t be carried away,

If peer pressure gets your way,

Religions teach us not to sin,

So keep your polluted mind clean;

Live within your needs,

Just make yourself green.

If you’re not ready,

Don’t get involved in it;

If it’s not meant to be,

Don’t swim yourself in.

If you’re seduced,

Be strong and wait for cue;

Tell them, “It’s better to go greener and…

Make this world a place better!”

Bridge:

When your mind is green,

Everything becomes pretty.
