Starry Five

Starry Five

One,
Two;
Three,
Four,
Five,
One has arrived;
With full Nyonya style,
Putting on a smile,
Finally this is who you are,
Don’t hide it far;
Driving the Waja car,
With me and my darl,
I was dressed in Nyonya kebaya,
After cracking my kepala;
Whole day out aloud,
The bamboo sarong like cloud,
He came without doubt,
I love him in and out;
It was our first traditional,
Before this it was Western,
I thanked Peter,
Ali thanked Peter;
It was a happily ever after,
Though we didn’t enjoy our dinner,
Straits Quay was so much better,
We took so many photos together;
We hugged and posed with laughter,
Too bad time was ticking faster,
He went somewhere but my heart has mata,
Sekejap saja sudah jumpa;
He came with a loving surprise terharu saya,
Peter kata mesti appreciate dia,
Saya tahu dia cinta saya,
Memang tiada yang kedua;
Hati saya sentiasa berkata-kata,
Sentuhan kasih sayang dengan mesra,
Budaya bercanggah tetapi hati tetap sama,
Peter tahu apa yang saya rasa;
Terima kasih kamu berdua,
Wo ai ni men liang ge,
Makes me feel like Huan Zhu Ge Ge,
Let’s live life happier;
New World Park has disappointed us,
But we met a happy ending that shone like stars above us.

When the Angels Said

When the Angels Said
Written Originally by Jennifer Soh Li Wen, 9th June 2012, Saturday, 11:20 p.m.-11:50 p.m., In My Hostel Room, Desasiswa Bakti Permai, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Specially Dedicated to My Beloved and Dearest Little Cute Brother, Peter Soh Weng Khai.

Ladies and gentlemen,
This is what I’ve to say;
God has sent me a man,
He saved my Saturday,
A Facebook message came in,
Asking about lunch today;
I was full of adrenaline,
Quickly I said, “Okay”,
At 11:45 a.m. we met,
For the whole day;
From the kuey teow thng,
To Kayu all the way,
Let me share with you,
Breathe in as you may;
Kuey teow thng,
Roti bakar,
Popcorn,
Apple yoghurt;
Subway,
Fries and Horlicks McFlurry,
Roti telur, Tiga rasa, and Susu lembu Milo,
I really felt like home!
Rather than being all alone,
Listening to the same tone;
All the dos and don’ts,
Hungry in the morning,
His voice came in right timing,
I didn’t ask for it;
It’s what God gave me,
Kafe Sri Nibong, Queensbay Mall, and Kompleks Bukit Jambul,
The day was like a story untold!
Now to you I unfold;
A plan of totally unplanned,
It was like what the Angels said,
Protecting you again and again,
Going to places we can never forget;
Watching the Madagascar 3 in 3D and laughed to the max!
This is how life should be,
Enjoy the present and don’t be sorry,
It’s your life, hence you live it;
We shopped for so many things!
Daiso, BORDERS, shoes, and Mydin,
I kept on seeing Hello Kitty in between!
It was as if I met my own twin!
I even have forgotten what I should be doing!
Today was full of blessing,
That Peter has given to me,
In case you’re wondering;
The girl in the pictures is in fact me,
Half of my hair ran away from me,
And I don’t mind it,
Peter thinks that I’m not entirely Chinese;
Is there really no Japanese blood in me?
If there is any,
I will surely tell him,
To God be the glory;
Peter-Jennifer has yet another amazing story.

Pewarna Tarianku [The Colour of My Dance] (2012)

Title: Pewarna Tarianku (The Colour of My Dance)

Duration: 6:38 (6 minutes 38 seconds)

Synopsis:

Marina, a modern dancer, believed too much that she has to be married when her age has reached the early thirties. She has just met Mehrajah, a rich man, who is good at winning women’s hearts. Finally, they have made a sudden decision to get married. However, Marina never knew that Mehrajah is also an ill-tempered person until she became his wife. Although she has conceived with their first child, she was still heavily and frequently abused by him whenever he felt like it. She experienced a miscarriage and she divorced him. The existence of the fetus, even though it was just temporary, has coloured her life. Her dance has represented the fetus’ life and it has been their way of communicating with each other. Marina does not want to easily trust men’s sweet words and she realised that age is not the indicator for a person’s relationship status.
