Like Klausner: Written Originally by Jennifer Soh Li Wen, 31st July 2011, Sunday, 1:10 a.m.-1:34 a.m.
English literature tells me,
Moral values are good indeed;
I read from short story,
I recite from poetry.
Then I met him,
A hero I think;
He has such bravery,
To prove he is not crazy.
When men cut trees,
Did you think they have feelings?
When men step on greens,
Did you think they have feelings?
When men pluck leaves,
Did you think they have feelings?
When men hurt green babies,
Did you think they have feelings?
English literature tells me,
Klausner is good indeed;
He believes in his theory,
He wants to show it to everybody.
He invented “The Sound Machine”,
He examined flora his eyes could see;
His theory is proclaimed imaginary-reality,
When the green babies were heard crying.
Plants are living things,
They just do not speak in a word;
They have their own language,
We just do not bother to pay attention.
They are God’s gift,
For us to breathe and breathe;
Who are us to take?
Everyone’s breath away?
Like Klausner,
I learn;
To listen,
Not flatten.
Like Klausner,
I whisper;
To my garden,
“I’m not a cruel destroyer.”
Like Klausner,
I want to be a protector;
To the oxygen provider,
Able to think wiser,
Aspire to be a green listener.
English literature tells me,
It is better;
To be rational, proactive, and not obsessive,
Yet to be creative, innovative, and appreciative,
Just like what clever and classic Klausner did.
