Tint of Red

Tint of Red:
Written Originally by Jennifer Soh Li Wen, 15th and 16th October 2011, 11:58 p.m.-12:14 a.m., in the living room, U.H., Penang.

He says, “History does renew,
On its own;
If it doesn’t,
It means we’re dead.”

Blooming tint of red,
Lighter red;
Under the shed,
Never like a man’s bed.

Belongs to Ted,
Morning to wed;
Breakfast he fed,
Tuxedo he led.

Degree in med,
Lipstick in red;
Rings with Jed and Ed,
Dress in tint of red.

She says, “Mirror,
Do you see what I see?
Am I what I see?
Why can’t you be two-way, mirror?”
