The Best IRD Ever
Written originally by Jennifer Soh Li Wen, 10th July 2014, Thursday, 11:24 a.m.-12:27 a.m., in 903 bus heading to Woodlands MRT and in MRT heading for workplace in Capella Singapore, Sentosa, Specially dedicated to my cool IRD colleagues that I cherish a lot, a lot
Dear Uncle Matthew,
Caring as a father hugging you;
Dear Ben,
The name as gentle as the man,
Dear Joey,
His smiles as sweet as candy;
Dear Aunty Helen,
The undeniable beauty of a mother,
Dear Uncle Devan,
His presence makes life way better;
Dear Ryan,
His strength comparable to a lion.
You are the best IRD ever,
I shall remember you forever;
You work so hard yet clever,
You know what's first and later,
Everyday seeing cheese platter,
You are all hearts of a team player;
Thank you for having me together,
Although I'm just a tiny fresher,
I feel so home with cheerful chatter,
Handling forms, food, cards, water;
Whenever I enter I'm always happier,
Keep the joy up a day a liter higher!

The Smile She Glitters
The Smile She Glitters
Written originally by Jennifer Soh Li Wen, 27th June 2014, Friday, 12:37 a.m.-1:10 a.m., in the 12:30 a.m. Shuttle on the way back home after work with an unknown young female colleague but I arrive last as usual, Dedicated specially for Jessica :")*
Dear Jingle Jessica,
Magandang gabi;
Although it's morning,
Today you are,
A sparkling superstar!
Just how you are;
Brightens all till far,
Definitely not only Capella,
You're a shooting star,
Be proud of who you are;
Keep up on the adrenaline,
You're 24 but looking 17.
Blessed and Happy Birthday,
Chicken popcorns and green tea cake;
Let's rejoice and celebrate,
Not forgetting the red Rose bouquet,
You deserve the whole weekend,
Live life beyond the golden sand;
Go ahead and march your band,
Achieve your dreams and plans,
From career all the way till romance,
You deserve all of the best;
You can do so much with your hands,
You're precious without regrets.
My kindhearted and thoughtful dear,
I'm blessed to have met you;
Although still quite new,
I'm already able to hug and kiss you,
This I humbly thank you,
For the warmth and love without due;
May God continuously blesses you,
In everything that you do,
You're surely one of the few,
To whom I'm being true;
This poem is my small present,
May it last long till we reach Heaven,
Hope you'll like this gesture,
Specially for you and not others;
To me you're the girl,
Forever smiling glitters.

When Stitch Meets Kitty
When Stitch Meets Kitty
Written originally by Jennifer Soh Li Wen, 23rd June 2014, Monday, 11:02 a.m.-11:46 a.m., In my cousin's room, Laying on the bed, Specially dedicated to the one and only her, Elaine Ling Tian Hui by someone's request
Can you believe it?
After all these years;
After all those tears,
I'm writing poetry than a tweet.
How long has it been?
Countless times of memories;
Together with you is bliss,
Although at times we're mean.
You comfort me,
You up cheer me;
You listen to me,
You share with me.
You possess maturity,
The sense of tranquility;
Living a life of quality,
Your age of purity.
Through many ups and downs,
Through shorts till gowns;
We still carry on life a bounce,
Overall it's the actions that counts.
Sometimes we could be crazy,
Age gap of 13 is totally nothing;
Pillow, blanket, and whatever fight there is,
Altogether happened before we fall asleep.
We tuned in to the same music,
One of them is Radioactive;
We sing along and party,
With chocolate, yoghurt, milk and Pokka drinks, Mentos, chips, biscuits, ... - you name it!
Reading is also an essential thing,
This passion forever we'll bring;
Nurtured from young of library and bookstore visiting,
Borrowing and returning already a fine routine.
Without you in my life,
I would be so lonely;
You know my strife,
My melancholy.
Yet you didn't give up on me,
No matter how flawed I can be;
Accepting me as who I'm supposed to be,
Dreaming big but the person losing is also me.
Up till now I'm still struggling,
My career path still dangling;
My health deteriorating,
With you, I feel less suffocating.
Regardless of situations,
We always encourage each other;
Hoping for better conclusions,
Your homework I also bother.
Thank you for making me laugh,
Though at times the opposite;
But no way we're going to bluff,
We're honest people and not plastic.
I love the photos we took together,
From selfie all the way to the sticker;
I love you more than a cousin sister,
I hope that our lives will be better.
You're a good girl,
You know the world;
One day you'll travel,
Eating cheese platter.
Your favourite colour is purple,
Mine is definitely pink;
We're two different people,
Yet family related in an eye blink.
People thought I look younger,
I don't look 27?
Could it be because of your shirt?
Or me being childish and immature.
Yes, I must admit this,
Wearing your clothes;
I'm glad they fit,
If not, my days can't go.
Snapchat, WhatsApp, and SMS,
That can never ever end;
Regardless of time sent,
Always a reply and not a mess.
We love swimming, sands, and Pangkor beach,
We can always preach and preach;
The beauty of nature from sky to bridge to reach,
Oh, so mesmerizing that we don't want to leave!
I don't mind investing on you,
Time, money, everything true;
In the end, it's not the materials,
But all of the memories in serials.
How long have I been writing?
I can't seem to find an ending;
With you, it's all on beginning,
Night could also be morning.
Oh, I forgot that we shouldn't say thank you,
It's because it's clearly understood;
Our hearts connect like they should,
I won't leave home because I'll surely miss you.
If one day I were to go,
Will you want to follow?
If I could make it for Ellen DeGeneres' talk show,
You're the first to know and go.
Baby, my dear, my dearest,
Whichever that I call you first;
You know my secrets,
You don't mind my thirst.
I wish you all the best,
Believe in yourself;
I'm blessed you're here,
Happiness is near.

Snowy Rhapsody
Snowy Rhapsody
Written originally by Jennifer Soh Li Wen, Rooms Executive, Capella Singapore, an ordinary girl with big dreams from Malaysia, 18th May 2014, Sunday, 1:39 a.m.-2:21 a.m., in the shuttle going back home after work, Specially dedicated to Mr. Dale Butler and Alia
Dear Mr. Dale and Alia,
2014 is indeed a good year;
Even better than a chandelier,
Meeting you my world is merrier.
I remember when you first came,
The smiles till today are the same;
Mr. Dale, Alia, and Jennifer by name,
Shaking hands I treasure in a frame.
I'm happy to be able to be there,
You're my best guests that I care;
I apologize my knowledge is rare,
I'm like the tortoise rather than hare.
Thinking you'll be leaving,
Makes me feel like weeping;
You're so good and kind to me,
I wish to dedicate to you a melody.
Thank you for sharing your lifestyle,
Thank you for sharing your happiness;
I know I'm nothing like your profile,
I appreciate you allow me to witness.
My life has been a struggle,
Until now I still have to juggle;
I'm crying now but I'll feel better,
I need to let it out and not stumble.
There are many staffs in here,
It's dark that they can't hear;
Whatever that I now tear,
I promise with you I'll cheer.
Alia, thank you,
You're so beautiful;
I'm still very new,
Your guide is thoughtful.
Mr. Dale, thank you,
Your experience so fruitful;
You've made it through,
Congratulations on being successful!
I love talking to you,
I knew I must wait for you;
You came and I thank you,
For allowing me to assist you.
It's a long way before I reached home,
Usually it'll be by 2:50 a.m.,
I hope not for later than that,
My feet hurt like being hit from a stone.
No matter who we are,
Where we come from;
A vehicle like a car,
Look forward and just go.
I want mixed marriage,
But I don't think I'll get it;
I find no man loving me,
I know that I lack image.
Failure after failure,
Everything is an adventure;
Both pleasure and pressure,
From immature to mature.
I hope to see you again,
London maybe I pray;
I'm in another shuttle now,
It's because I stay faraway.
My tears have dried up,
It's time for me to sleep;
I've written too much,
It must be tiring to read.
You're the first to know my novel,
I didn't share with guests other;
I'm glad you also love romance,
Without it, life won't be a dance.
I dream big for ORAG to be filmed,
In Hollywood if really possible;
I'm now writing my second backward sequel,
It's titled as "The Underground Daughter".
I need to close my eyes,
Both of you are so nice;
Have a safe journey mercy,
I'll surely miss you daily.

Nothing, Nothing
Nothing, Nothing
Written originally by Jennifer Soh Li Wen, 12th May 2014, Monday, 1:52 a.m.-2:58 a.m., In the 1:30 a.m. shuttle tearing painfully on the way home from workplace
The virgin spoke to him,
He invited generously;
She followed blindly,
Agreed to everything,
All that she did,
Came up to nothing;
If only he knew it,
She really did love him,
He left for his other lady,
Although she was history;
He said she hurt her feet,
Went to her days of three,
How could I believe this?
Where is the sense to it?
He left the country,
Is he now back already?
No contact, nothing,
I can't believe I gave him;
He doesn't love me,
He doesn't care for me,
Waiting so painfully,
I met another him;
Thought he could be it,
Ended up only sex it seemed,
Showing off his big dick,
Worried I couldn't fit in;
He wanted to see my pussy,
I decided to give up on him,
Now considering other ethnicity,
Is Asian still the best thing?
How about my dream and fantasy?
All destroyed just like this?
26, 27, and counting,
I'm still waiting and waiting;
This generation is so weird lately,
All are just so blurry,
Maybe I'm just hungry,
Love is moving slowly;
A month passed blindly,
Period should be coming,
Please stop worrying,
Affected by odd hours of working;
Now a virgin to a non already,
In the end, left with nothing, nothing.

Till I Met You, Baby
Till I Met You, Baby
Written Originally by Jennifer Soh Li Wen, 9th May 2014, Friday, 11:50 a.m.-12:09 p.m., in MRT train from Novena station to Dhoby Ghaut station and train toward Harbourfront station, Specially Dedicated to B., John, My Sweetheart from Australia
How long has it been?
How could it be;
That it took years long to meet,
Here standing on my feet,
I shall show no defeat,
Love isn't about greed;
You make my heartbeat,
So fast and skipping,
I can't wait for our first greet,
May chemistry and destiny lead;
In togetherness discussed-agreed,
Love is freed and be freed,
It has connected us in glee,
We do now know we're meant to be;
Mutual reminders unconditionally,
I'm yours and no one else already.
