Everything's Broken

Everything's Broken
Written originally by Jennifer Soh Li Wen, 24th August 2014, 12:26 a.m.-1:15 a.m., in my cousin's room and about to go to bed after work from 11:30 a.m.

It was your dream,
You came to me;
Like a stream,
Clear in beam,
The pairing,
The intimacy;
The setting,
The fantasy.

The high ceiling,
The pure bedding;
The spacious building,
The sensual feeling,
The souls kissing,
The lips syncing;
The back adoring,
The reality is nothing.

As beautiful as everything was,
The fact that it has passed;
Temporary and it's gone to rust,
The truth that lust won't last,
It all happened too fast,
I felt that I was just a cast;
My part has now turned to dust,
It's so easy for you to just adjust,
No longer as tasty as a pizza's crust,
Sweet to bitter in a manner vast;
If only there's a song for both hearts,
A hymn, a melody, or fate guards,
It's always been chasing cars,
It's always been a pause and laughs;
It's always been applause and ups,
A touch, a smile, and lots of hugs.

How different are you?
Were you being true?
Why do I still feel blue?
Yes, you told me through,
No way there'll be a glue,
It's too loose and to lose;
I didn't compete yet I lose,
I didn't see it coming,
I wasn't prepared of winning,
There wasn't any victory;
We weren't even battling,
It was just mere spontaneity,
A mixture of love and anxiety,
Being in a dogmatic society;
Such situation condemned to feet,
What was with the first time meet?

I'm too tired to count,
Even if I call you aloud;
Your ears are too proud,
Can't hear my tiny sound,
You've her all around,
Please forget my pound;
We went out of bound,
The time ticked its round,
Could this be lost and found?
Electrifying chemistry all around?
The owner played well in the town,
It's nice looking high but all to down.

The attracting,
The affecting;
The reasoning,
The caring,
The suffering,
The similarity;
The wondering,
The worrying,
The rushing,
The silencing;
The vacancy,
The being,
This short story,
This sort of longing;
It was your dream,
You came to me.
