Off the Food

Off the Food
Written originally by Jennifer Soh Li Wen, 5th January 2013, 4:34 p.m.-5:24 p.m., in my hostel room

Relatively,
It's not funny;
Candy bunny,
Eat safely.

Your business,
Our concern;
You're careless,
We're reasoned.

If this is your prank,
And just want rank;
Not even being frank,
Sorry if you're Frank.

How much can you carry?
All the cash money;
You also have to eat,
Unless you're anti-vege and meat.

You Mr. or Mrs.,
What are your visions?
Who are your versus?
Why create problems?

Beautiful packing,
Looking attractive;
Selling expensive,
People suffering.

Government steps in,
As if you can be replaced;
Prices nothing like shark fin,
Society's eyes happily gazed.

1Malaysia cream cracker,
Goodbye Jacker and Double Decker;
Thought it would be better,
Expired date as clear as water.

Too bad we know sense,
Use it for bless;
We do not feel dense,
You ought to confess.

China goods,
Intruders you recruit;
Ingredients of untruths,
Hunger to death pursuit.

Both parties are leveled,
Left us troubled;
Should we off the food,
Wealth won't enter your hood.

Think wisely and honest,
We are no fool;
If you want to lie to us,
Go learn back your moral in school.

We hope for no matter,
We write no complaint letter;
Happy food is fatter,
Easier than being a regretter.

No one wants to suffer,
We just want laughter;
Tell us what you put into wafer,
And we shall be loyal eater.

Consumerism,
Gold digger;
Empire bigger,
Capitalism.

Enough of chemicals,
Uplifting artificials;
Gigantic commercials,
You deserve only bicycles.

Take off your shoes,
Put on our shoes;
We won't wear your shoes,
We walk in our shoes.

Without us,
You won't be here;
Typing fungus,
Some don't give cheer.

All said and done,
Of butter and bun;
This isn't for fun,
These aren't mere words ton.

Dear you food producers,
If you mind your manners;
We double your price planners,
Just don't give us your cancers.

P/S: So coincidentally today I saw this picture. It suits so much to my poetry. Thank you :")
