Love Divine

Love Divine:

Written Originally by Jennifer Soh Li Wen, 20th July 2011, Wednesday, 10:23 p.m.-10:47 p.m.

Divine love,

Love divine;

Love is from above,

Love isn’t mine.

Once I met a guy,

I thought he’s nice;

He has his style,

He’s too rich to care the price.

We had lunch sometimes,

He’s such a gentleman;

He’s good in science,

I thought he’s different from other men.

When he asked me out,

I thought he was genuine;

Later I found out,

He just wanted company.

All the time I spent with him,

In the end I earned nothing;

I’d been happy when I was with him,

In the end I’m not even his something.

Both of us are best friends,

We share some similarities;

Today we don’t even act like friends,

We moved on with our own responsibilities.

When we were still in touch,

I’d be shy until I blushed;

When I knew he fell for another girl,

My heart melted as it burned.

Divine love,

Love divine;

He’s not my love,

He’s not mine.

What divine crush!

He has got many girls in mind;

I began to hush,

My friends advised he’s not my kind.

I trust my friends more than him,

I knew what I was doing;

A playboy like him,

I existed wrong timing.

I divined his love,

It wasn’t love;

He was just being a gentleman,

Well-behaved as a male human.

I should be embarrassed,

I took him for granted;

My feelings he caressed,

My time and energy were wasted.

I still can’t forget our talking,

Even the walking, eating, and winking;

As long as I’m still breathing,

I want to thank him for existing and caring.
