Half a rainbow

Half a rainbow: Written Originally by Jennifer Soh Li Wen, 27th January 2013, Sunday, 6:02 p.m.-6:16 p.m., talking with parents and still on the way home from Penang with a traffic jam

Half a rainbow,
Half my sorrow;
Half you borrow,
Half tomorrow.

I'm going home,
You aren't alone;
No more tone,
We're on our own.

I saw your friend,
I remember his round head;
We stared while I was on a text,
I didn't really smile and walk rushed-ahead.

Goodbye,
Say hi;
Days go by,
Out of sight.

Under the bridge

Under the bridge: Written Originally by Jennifer Soh Li Wen, 27th January 2013, Sunday, 5:53 p.m.-5:59 p.m., in the car with parents and another 18 km to Rawang

I saw a man,
Sitting there;
Touching his hair,
Both his hands,
Skin not fair,
Shirt not tear;
Why is he there?
Does he know where?
With his friend,
Already dead;
Standing straight,
Motor shaped,
Don't worry, man,
Under the bridge you can;
Anywhere you can,
Life isn't the end,
Glad you didn't pretend,
Whatever in there;
Just get rid, okay?
There are lots to see and share,
It's as long as you aren't scared.

P/S: Finally being able to blog this poem of mine out and based on the title that I've figured out, it reminds me of this song by All Saints. Classic! Coincidences do happen! Check it out and enjoy :")

The fear you fall

The fear you fall: Written Originally by Jennifer Soh Li Wen, 27th January 2013, Sunday, 4:06 p.m.-4:15 p.m., in the car with parents-on the way back home (after Gunung Tempurung rest house) from USM, Penang

Scratch the wall,
The fear you fall;
The eye drops,
The flip flops,
The owl hops,
The hand stops;
The ball mops,
The fever tops,
Call the cops,
By the corpse;
The moment you crawl,
A doll left in the hall, the mall.

I Must See Morning

I Must See Morning: Written Originally by Jennifer Soh Li Wen, 25th January 2013, Friday, 8:23 a.m.-8:30 a.m., In my hostel room feeling hungry (could not sleep well) and going to the Bakti Cafe soon to buy food for today (the day)

Rolling up my sleeves,
Hearing cricketing breeze;
Hearing myself sneeze,
Picking up my sanities,
Managing on priorities,
Missing old memories;
Making self a piece,
Searching for inner peace,
Humbling down my knees,
Aiming for degrees;
Rolling down my sleeves,
A real day to please.

Positivitize Me

Positivitize Me: Written Originally by Jennifer Soh Li Wen, 23rd January 2013, Wednesday, 3:59 p.m.-4:02 p.m., In my hostel room wearing a green dress, listening to Hitz.fm, and going to cut my nails and have spirulina instant cereal soon (Just showered and blown dry my recent strawberry blonde colored hair)

Inject me,
The liquid;
Flow me,
The fluid,
Calm me,
The spirit;
Console me,
Within.

I Went to Hell

I Went to Hell: Written originally by Jennifer Soh Li Wen on 22nd January 2013, Tuesday from 4:39 p.m. to 4:55 p.m., in my hostel room (Room 319, Block H06, Desasiswa Bakti Permai, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang, Malaysia) laying on the bed typing this new poem with my Nokia mobile.

I went to Hell,
Curse the bell;
Heart of cell,
Hair full of gel,
Such a bad smell,
My soul to sell;
My love to melt,
My body to rebel,
My childhood to dwell,
My innocence knows too well;
This is where I fell,
This is where I yelled, “Help!”
This is where my lung swelled,
This is where I seek Abigail;
This is where we fell ill,
This is where the counting bill,
Amount of hill,
Rush of the treadmill;
I’m not Jill,
I’m not Mill,
I don’t work late,
I don’t kill;
I carry my own pail,
I walk on my own rail,
I only know on how to sail,
I solely live on His will;
Till whenever till,
Until my heart is filled,
With cereal and milk,
With heaps of silk;
Covering with kilt,

.
.
.

At a time,
At a place,
Once with him;
I see grace,
I put on my lace,
He touches my face,
He only has two legs;
Surviving on my baked cakes,
Not questioning my fakes,
Of all of the hundred maids,
He knows my states;
He brushes off my hates,
He opens new magical gates,
He tells to me new tales,
For all that it takes;
With just slight touches,
And his warm tender kisses,
How strong just to take my dream away,
And drift me away;
To a better rear,
A pathway clear.

If I Had A Daughter, That'd Be You

If I Had A Daughter, That’d Be You: Written originally by Jennifer Soh Li Wen on 21st January 2013, Monday from 8:45 p.m. to 9:35 p.m., In my hostel room (Room 319, Block H06, Desasiswa Bakti Permai, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang, Malaysia) laying on the bed, back-watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S and chatting with my cousin, Hui Hui via WhatsApp.

A moment in the pantry,
Outside I was looking;
Two women in black walking,
My mind wonders in sanctuary.

By the time you read this,
You may call me Mommy;
But I may not give you bliss,
I may leave Earth already.

Baby darling,
I hear your voice singing;
Your eyes twinkling,
I call your phone ringing.

Take care of yourself,
I remind you since twelfth;
Caution on the margarita,
And guys calling you senorita.

Life brings you to wonderland,
Perhaps you don’t even dare;
Or try not to care,
Face it and firmly stand.

A woman of all worth,
You’re precious since birth;
You aren’t the first, second, or third,
Yet you’ll leave flying like a bird.

If you were to be here,
If I had no fear;
You’d always be my dear,
My love for you sincere.

Since childhood,
I wrote in a book;
My daughter named Rachel,
My son named Jesse.

Later I found it wrong,
My diary gone;
It was so long,
Still in my mind on and on.

My life story isn’t pretty,
I don’t want you to be in it;
Instead you create your own meaning,
Don’t let others affect any of it.

I don’t mind who you want to be,
You don’t live my fantasy;
You do your own thing,
I’d say you’re responsible with what you dream.

My support to you is endless,
You don’t have to me impress;
I’m neither a princess nor empress,
Just please don’t be senseless.

The choices made are yours,
Including the boys;
I do still have the voice,
So sorry if I make noise.

I pray for your health and happiness,
I hope not to lead you to blindness;
My love life is a plain madness,
Maybe I won’t even see you, Your Highness.

I’m your friend,
Till the end;
Take my hand,
I understand.

I’m still young,
With my clan;
My phone rung,
There’s no plan.

Now with you,
In my womb;
No tomb,
I feed you.

If I had a daughter,
That’d be you;
I shall meet you faster,
I love you.

This world may be turning around,
I’m losing my bound;
Let’s not go down and drown,
Let’s not frown.

I’m carrying you,
I’ve not seen you;
If only he knew,
I’m unlike his few.

I’m having a baby,
Of another somebody;
Thank you for making me a Mommy,
Though technically temporary.

I’m unmarried,
I’m nobody;
My dignity and integrity,
Still fresh in me.

This child,
Not mine;
A kiss goodbye,
A hug lullaby.

Don’t remember me,
Don’t miss me;
I’ll just be walking in my tee and jeans,
Like the two black-attired ladies.
